Assistive technology could be a device, software or a piece of equipment that can help and support human life. In the year 2050, everything will be a lot different than what we have nowadays in many ways. Science, environment, sports, transportation, education, entertainment, and people’s lifestyles will also become another level. One of the assistive technologies that will draw people’s attention is going to be Smart Contact Lenses.

Smart Contact Lenses are contact lenses that contain advanced optic technology to improve and enhance human life in general. Users can wear them like original contact lenses, and you can remove them or put them on whenever you want. Besides, they do not require any surgery.

These smart contact lenses not only correct the refractive errors and maintain ocular health, but they can also do a lot of things. Firstly, they improve your vision without glasses in better ways by using instant focus of the eyes. This makes users get wider and better vision when it is dark. Also, the users can switch between normal and magnified vision so that they can zoom in on certain objects. Secondly, as they are smart contact lenses, it is possible to explore the virtual and augmented reality and camera technologies. Thirdly, they can connect to social media websites including Instagram, Facebook and Google to save your lens information as well as other variety of apps that you can access. Lastly, they could also be used for military and health purposes.

In 2050, countless people will enjoy using smart contact lenses as the lenses provide convenience and lots of functions. Moreover, such device would be used for people who have problems with their eyesight because of their age or the disability they have.

Through these lenses, humans will have a more comfortable and high-quality life at the same time.

This is my contact lenses design.
